Prayer for Victory in Spiritual Battle

Be ready! Let the truth be like a belt around your waist, and let God’s justice protect you like armor. Your desire to tell the good news about peace should be like shoes on your feet. Let your faith be like a shield, and you will be able to stop all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Let God’s saving power be like a helmet, and for a sword use God’s message that comes from the Spirit.

Eph 6; 10-18

Each of us has a weakness. We fall for old “tricks,” and this can cause us to lose the courage we need to combat evil. Let’s pray to win this spiritual battle again.

Holy Spirit, show me my weakest entry points, where I start losing the fight, and my opponent has a chance to weaken me. Show me which minds, words, or deeds make me unfree.

I want to face my weaknesses and see them the way they are. Please let me be humble enough to accept my situation.

The Holy Spirit, you give me the perfect tools for the fight. Teach me how to use them, and I will become the winner. Give me the courage and fortitude to persist all the way until the end.
