DO YOU HAVE A PRAYER REQUEST?

Needed Unspoken Prayer Request

Prayer is powerful. Very few people will ever know how much prayer has gone up in order for them to receive some of the miracles they’ve once badly needed. Unspoken prayer request is one of such powerful prayers.

Life can be messy a lot of times, and being able to share the details can be overwhelming when requesting for prayers. To be honest, some of us can’t even find the strength to think about our own crises without breaking down, not to mention talking about it with others.

This is how unspoken prayers are formed. Whether you are praying them in your closet, or sharing them with a friend, a church group, or a prayer site like here at Operando, always remember that it is a prayer done in faith to God and directed to Him only.

God knows your needed unspoken prayer request

Jesus, teaching the people in Matthew 6:8 (ESV), said:

Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him.”

Matthew 6:8

What was Jesus trying to say here? He was simply saying, sometimes you might think you know the details, and you’ll pray accordingly.

Other times, you might think you only know a little, and you make your prayer requests accordingly. But there are other times when you don’t even know if you know the details or not, because you can’t understand the situation.

Whether you know it or not, this is not the major issue. The weight is so heavy, or you’re so full of shame or regret that it makes it difficult to say so much when prayers are requested.

Jesus is saying through the above verse that whichever category you might fall into, God knows all the details even more than you!

Although He wants you to ask Him for your needs, He doesn’t want you to think it’s about using the perfect words or having the perfect feelings before you can talk to Him about your needs.

So, whether you’re praying by yourself, or with members of the body of Christ, the Holy Spirit sees into the depths of your heart and is able to answer your unspoken requests.

Never forget that God loves you and wants to set you free from anything causing you pain.

And the Holy Spirit helps us in our weakness. For example, we don’t know what God wants us to pray for. But the Holy Spirit prays for us with groanings that cannot be expressed in words. And the Father who knows all hearts knows what the Spirit is saying, for the Spirit pleads for us believers in harmony with God’s own will.

Romans 8:26-27 (NLT)

Praying over a needed Unspoken Prayer Request

We often don’t know how to say what we really need in prayer or in an open setting surrounded by other saints.

Sometimes, even in your regular day to day life, you may need someone to just listen to you, or just a moment of peace, encouragement, or the courage to express what’s truly within your heart.

James 5:16 (NLT) says,

Confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results.

James 5:16

How do you feel when you see a line like this?

This tells you that each time you trust God enough to lift up your needs to Him, no matter how pressing they are, He will make it happen for you. Your prayers, whether loud and detailed, or soft and undetailed, when prayed with faith, produce equal results.

This faith is not just about believing in answered prayers, but in the gift that Jesus gives to those who put their trust in Him. The righteous man is not the man filled with good works by himself but the man declared right before God through faith in the free gift of salvation given by our Lord Jesus.

God made him who had no sin to be sin[a] for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.

2Corinthians 5:2

So, when you have a needed unspoken prayer request, either for yourself or for another, God doesn’t want you holding back because of shame or guilt, fear or discouragement.

He wants you to come into His presence where you are welcome as a man or a woman who has put their trust in the finished work of Jesus.

Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.

Hebrews 4:16

In other words, we can say that Jesus is our access to God’s throne of grace for our needed unspoken prayer request. And when we pray over the needs as a family or individuals, we are sure He will give us results.
