Morning Prayer for Today – Shepherd Of My Soul

My God,

You are Lord and my Defender. You are always ahead of me wherever I go to protect and direct me.

I am meditating on Psalm 23:

The Lord is my shepherd, I will not be in need. He lets me lie down in green pastures;

He leads me beside quiet waters.

He restores my soul; He guides me in the paths of righteousness for the sake of His name.

Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I fear no evil, for You are with me;

Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.

You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You have anointed my head with oil; My cup overflows.

Certainly goodness and faithfulness will follow me all the days of my life, and my dwelling will be in the house of the Lord forever.

Father, you have shown me your heart through the good works you perform in my life steadily. 

You have never failed to come through for me. Your desire to see me make progress keeps me confident in the face of adversity.

Let me never stop trusting you, Lord. Strengthen my faith daily, no matter what I face.

Let me constantly rejoice, knowing that you are with me and you will cause everything to work together for my advantage.

Shield me from the arrows of fear, sickness, and destruction, and let me remain under the shadow of your wings every day of my life.

In Jesus’ name, I pray.
