Morning Prayer for Today – Praying For Strength

Lord God, 

Thank you for today. 

With gratitude, I thank you for preserving me another day. I thank you for your ultimate gift of love for me.

I am grateful because I know that no matter what I face, nothing can separate me from your love.

When the world mocks, insults, or ostracises me for choosing to follow you, though it may hurt, let my faith not falter.

Lord, I find my strength in your tenderness towards me. Let your love continually remind me of the glory ahead of me.

I am contemplating Psalms 59:16-17:

But as for me, I will sing of Your strength; yes, I will joyfully sing of Your faithfulness in the morning, 

For You have been my refuge and a place of refuge on the day of my distress. My strength, I will sing praises to You; 

For God is my refuge, the God who shows me favour.

Father, today I ask for a fresh supply of strength and peace as I face the day. Let me be full of life and the endearing light of your glory.

Let your everlasting love silence the voices of fear and unworthiness, seeking to hold me down.

Thank you, Father.
