Dear Father,
You made the marriage relationship a symbol of your bond with your people, a lifelong connection filled with comfort, peace and satisfaction.
Marriage is complex, and lasting love needs your help to develop into maturity.
So, Lord, I am praying for my marriage and spouse today. Please strengthen our bond of intimacy, both spiritually and physically.
Let each new day bring fresh vibrancy into our relationship. Work in the life of my spouse and help them in every area where they need you.
Your word says in 1Corinthians 13:4-7:
Love is patient, love is kind, it is not jealous; love does not brag, it is not arrogant. It does not act disgracefully; it does not seek its own benefit;
It is not provoked, does not keep an account of a wrong suffered; it does not rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth;
It keeps every confidence, it believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
I pray for the grace to be patient and kind toward my partner. Let me never get frustrated or give up on loving them.
Let my partner know and love you, and let that love bind us together in perfect unity.
Lord, I pray for your intervention over every challenge in my marriage or with my partner. Please restore peace and bliss to my home.
Please help us to be open and forgiving, not holding resentment or anger. Give us the grace to listen to each other carefully and speak in love.
This will also be the portion of everyone around me who needs it in their own marriage.
In Jesus’ name, I pray.
