Morning Prayer for Today – Light My Path, Lord

Heavenly Father,

You are the light that shines in a dark place. When the earth was steeped in darkness, you spoke light into being.

Lord, today, as I face the day ahead in a world filled with darkness, please shine your light on my path.

Your word says in Proverbs 3:5-6:

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.

As I go about my daily engagements today, let me have your light for direction, clarity, wisdom in making the right choices, and peace.

You are the source of true wisdom and rest. Therefore, as your child, I receive a fresh dose of your wisdom for all my engagements today.

Your word assures me in Psalms 18:28-33:

For You light my lamp; the Lord my God illumines my darkness. For by You I can run at a troop of warriors; and by my God I can leap over a wall.

As for God, His way is blameless; the word of the Lord is refined; He is a shield to all who take refuge in Him.

For who is God, but the Lord? And who is a rock, except our God; the God who encircles me with strength, and makes my way blameless?

He makes my feet like deer’s feet, and sets me up on my high places.

I stand securely on these words today and am confident they will be my testimonies too, Father.

In Jesus’ name, I pray.
