Morning Prayer for Today –Fill Me With Joy

Dear Holy Spirit,

Thank You for your many blessings upon my life. Thank you for working in my life even when I cannot see you.

I pray, Holy One, please continue to guide and walk with me into my glorious destiny.

Your word says in Psalms 16:11:

You will make known to me the way of life; in Your presence is fullness of joy; in Your right hand there are pleasures forever.

Lord, I admit that negative thoughts and gloomy moods often get the best of me, making me act in ways inconsistent with my faith.

But, Holy Spirit, I pray in faith today, desiring you to fill me with your joy.

I am reading your word in Romans 14:17:

For the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.

Therefore, I receive your overwhelming joy in my life now. Please teach me how to look beyond all the negativity around me and tap into joy from my inside.

Lord, your joy is unlike anything the world can offer. Only Your joy can give me strength, just as your word says in Nehemiah 8:10:

He said to them, “Go and eat delicacies and drink sweet drinks and send portions to those for whom nothing is prepared. For this day is holy to our Lord.

Do not grieve, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.”

Therefore, take me in your arms as I live a life of true joy, enjoying fellowship with you today and forever.
