Dear Father,
I cannot boast that I have it all figured out because I don’t. There are so many things in my life that are beyond me.
However, Lord, nothing is beyond you. You know the end from the beginning, and your path is always perfect.
When I feel lost, I can always count on you to direct my steps.
Your Word says in Isaiah 42:16:
“I will lead those who are blind by a way they have not known, in paths they have not known I will guide them.
I will turn darkness into light before them and uneven land into plains. These are the things I will do, and I will not leave them undone.”
So, Father, I submit my decisions and action plans to you. Please direct me in the best way possible.
I ask you to have your way in my life today because your way is the best, and your plans for me are always good.
Please save me from any harmful or wasteful decision, and break any enemy chain seeking to pull me towards disaster.
Some days, Lord, it feels like I’m walking through fog. I try to make sense of my tasks and responsibilities, but the pressure to get everything right is overwhelming.
Emails pile up. Voices compete for my attention. I rush through conversations without listening. I multitask until I forget why I even started something in the first place.
And in those chaotic moments, I need your stillness.
When the noise of deadlines, notifications, and unrealistic expectations drowns out your gentle whisper, please pull me aside—like you did with Moses—and speak to me in the quiet.
If I get caught up in people-pleasing or the fear of disappointing others, remind me that my worth isn’t found in perfection or approval. It’s found in your grace.
When I compare my progress to someone else’s highlight reel and feel like I’m falling behind, whisper to my heart that I’m not in a race—I’m on a journey with you.
Guide me in the small decisions too—the seemingly insignificant ones that shape the flow of my day. Should I say yes to that meeting? Should I confront that issue now or wait? Should I rest or push forward?
Give me discernment, Lord, in the messiness of real-life situations—like knowing when to speak truth and when to stay silent. When to hold on and when to let go. When to ask for help and when to simply trust.
Let your peace be the referee in my heart, calling time out when I’m running on fumes and forgetting to breathe.
If I start spiraling into anxious thoughts about tomorrow, remind me that you’re already there. You’ve already walked ahead, cleared the path, and left grace notes along the way—if I’ll just stop and look for them.
And if I mess up today—and I probably will—help me to turn to you, not away from you. You never shame me when I stumble. You reach out, steady me, and invite me to try again with you.
Thank you for helping and guiding me today, Lord. Thank you for going before me and standing beside me. Thank you for being the light on my path, even when I feel like I’m fumbling in the dark.
May I walk closely with you today—not striving, not fearing, not rushing—but trusting, resting, and moving at your pace.
In Jesus’ name, I pray.
Amen.
