Morning Prayer for Today – Bring Relief To My Heart

Father God,

Your earnest desire is to see me free from every form of bondage.

You were willing to give up your Son, Jesus, so you could set me free from the enemy’s chains.

Today, Lord, I ask that you stretch forth your hand and touch my heart. Please, give me relief from every heaviness that weighs me down.

I am reading your words in Matthew 11:28-30:

“Come to Me, all who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.

Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble, and you will find rest for your souls. 

For My yoke is comfortable, and My burden is light.”

Lord, your word is so reliable, and you are so faithful to me. Therefore, I know you are touching my heart already.

I open myself up to you and receive your healing where I’ve been wounded.

I receive grace where my abilities have failed me.

And I receive the continuous assurance of your love that gives peace as it flows throughout every part of my being.

Lord, I also ask this over anyone seeking relief today. 

Touch their hearts and let the chains that have bound them for too long be shattered.

Help them find peace and solace in you, and let them become your witnesses to those around them, just as I am.

In Jesus’ name, I pray.
