I dedicate this prayer to Ukraine—to all the country’s citizens and to those loving people my husband and I had the honor of meeting in Odessa and Kyiv on our missionary journey.
I invite you to join me in praying for this wonderful land that has suffered so much already. We ask that God have mercy on her, embrace her with the greatest tenderness, and protect her from all evil.
“Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: ‘May they prosper who love you! Peace be within your walls, and security within your towers!’ For my brethren and companions’ sake I will say, ‘Peace be within you!’ For the sake of the house of the Lord our God, I will seek your good.”
Psalm 122:6-9
King of Peace, we ask You to help stop the conflict in Ukraine completely so that people can live in peace again. Help them resolve their complicated situation with all their caution. Open the chest of wisdom and knowledge so that their dignity will be restored and all injustices corrected.
Jesus, we call on You to stop the plan of destruction and turn away from Ukraine all the evil that is being prepared against it. Help all Ukraine’s allies, friends, and volunteers to carry out their mission successfully. Strengthen the desire to talk and find good solutions for lasting peace.

Lord, comfort all people in need and make them feel that they are not alone and abandoned. Show us what we can do to improve the situation of our brothers and sisters in Ukraine and alleviate the suffering they are experiencing due to the loss of peace and property.
Holy Spirit, come and pour out mercy on all the people who started this conflict. Lead them to lay down their arms. Let them realize how entangled they are in the snare of evil and give them enough humility to be able to admit it as well. Give them a new heart that will be compassionate and always looking for the good of all nations and peoples, not just their own narrow interests.
King of peace, send the Holy Spirit to enlighten us all with His breath of love.
Amen.
