Morning Prayer for Today – Give Me A Diligent Heart

Lord God,

You are my Father, and you love to see me grow from one level to another in all areas of my life.

Please give me a more diligent heart in handling every opportunity you give me to make a difference.

Your word is said in Proverbs 22:29:

Show me someone who does a good job, and I will show you someone better than most and worthy of the company of kings.

Lord, you have gifted and made me special, so what I possess is meant to help the world.

However, I also know that I may only reach my full potential with the attitude of diligence and discipline.

So, please give me the grace to develop disciplined routines and commit to them. Don’t let me be unstable, giving excuses without results.

Your word says in Proverbs 24:33-34:

A little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to rest, and poverty will come upon you like a robber and want, like an armed warrior.

I will overcome the spirit of procrastination and laziness and meet my daily goals and duties without fail.

Lord, ignite a passion for excellence within me. Let me develop great work ethics and attitudes to elevate my life and career.

I will be an example of a punctual worker and business person.

I will stand for truth and credibility, and my colleagues and clients will trust me enough to work with me.

Thank you, Father, for answering my prayer, in Jesus’ name.
