Lord, my future is in your hands. You know all about me, and your eyes have seen it all—my past, my present, and also my future:
“Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.”
Psalm 139:16
You see in me what no one else can, because no one else has that ability. Thank You for knowing me deeply, with all my secrets, creating such wonderful intimacy.
You form me like the diamonds that You, the Almighty, have created. I’m grateful for how You have shaped me through my past trials, and how you are honing me for the future.

You don’t want me to fear what is ahead of me. You have told me in your Word:
“‘For I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the LORD, ‘plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.'”
Jeremiah 29:11
You don’t want me to carry the baggage of the past with me. You want me free here and now. Lord, help me put that load down. Cut and remove anything that’s pulling me back and distorting my vision.
Your strong love strips me of everything superfluous so that I can rise above illusions, disobedience, bitterness, disappointment, numbness, or feelings of worthlessness.
May my steps be easy as I dance beside You, the source of all love. I want to do Your will, and accept your love. I open myself to You so You can transform me, speak to me, enliven me, and teach me. Just what is waiting for me? What’s next? Where are You going to take me?
Lord, teach me to choose the people who will be by my side wisely:
“Consider the blameless, observe the upright; a future awaits those who seek peace.”
Psalm 37:37
You and the love that flows through Your wounds set me free. I’m getting more and more attached to you, Jesus. What remains in me is eternal and genuine. Just as You, God, are eternal, original, and genuine.
Nothing can separate me from You. Even the apostle Paul encourages me to trust You completely and not to give in to fear:
“For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
Romans 8:38-39
Father, I trust that You always have the best ready for me. You promise that those who walk in obedience and fidelity to You will lack nothing. I trust in Your word completely:
“‘Then you will find your joy in the Lord, and I will cause you to ride in triumph on the heights of the land and to feast on the inheritance of your father Jacob.’ For the mouth of the Lord has spoken.”
Isaiah 58:14
Amen.
