Imagine God the Father watching you and waiting expectantly for something beautiful to sprout from you, His beloved child. Why wouldn’t he rejoice especially this week in your talents, gifts, and abilities, which are so specific to you and which the Creator has placed in you?
The prophet Isaiah enthusiastically recounts his mission, entrusted to him by God:
“The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me, because the Lord has anointed me. He sent me to proclaim the gospel to the poor, to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of prison to those who are bound, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor… I rejoice greatly in the Lord, my soul rejoices in my God.”
Isaiah 61:1-2, 10
His exaltation is so contagious that you can also pray this prayer with him:
God the Father, I am precious to You, for You are the one who wanted to have me here in these circumstances, in this time and place.

Lord, grant that I will always, with all that I am and all that I have, bear witness to You and Your love.
You know very well what gifts You have given me, and I am discovering this slowly and gradually. Thank You for helping me realize that I am completely dependent on You and Your grace.
Thank You for the opportunities to be able to develop my skills and knowledge over and over again, especially through the challenges you pose in my struggles.
Give me meekness and obedience to follow what You order and teach me, that I will not hesitate, when You call me, to do what You invite me to do.
Holy Spirit, draw me into Your powerful stream of Love, that I may fulfill the mission you give me, in accordance with Your will and power.
Holy Spirit, let me enjoy the joy of Your presence and spread the message of joy, especially to those who need it most during this period.
Amen.
