DO YOU HAVE A PRAYER REQUEST?

Prayer for Easter

May this prayer for Easter strengthen in you the joy and power that Jesus brought to Earth through His sacrifice on Calvary, in the grave, and through the Resurrection.

Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Hallelujah!

He is risen! He’s not in the grave; He lives! Jesus lives!

Heavenly joy overwhelms my heart at this wonderful news. Let me rejoice with the first apostles, with Mary the mother of Jesus, and Mary Magdalene; with all the Christians around the world celebrating the Resurrection of Jesus; and with my loved ones.

Understanding the Purpose and Power of Prayer: How to Call Heaven to Earth

  • "You're in our prayers" has become a cliche

Through this prayer for Easter, let me experience the resurrection power that comes from Jesus’s Resurrection and victory. May this grace not pass me by but redeem my life and move me into a renewed relationship with Jesus, the Father, and all people.

I meet You as women met You before Your open tomb. You invite me to make time for You, and You reveal all that is necessary for me to understand the secrets You have for my life.

Your loving words encourage me and call me to surrender to You and trust in You:

“Lo, I am with you always, to the close of the age.”

Matthew 28:20

I allow Your promises to resonate in my heart and nourish and strengthen me.

How can I remain indifferent to this miracle? How can I stay quiet?

Jesus! You saved the world. You saved me. Here You are! Alive!

Grant that, like You glorified, I may become a new person in this triumphant light of the Resurrection so that Your sacrifice will not be in vain.

Open my eyes that I may see the greatness, breadth, and depth of Your love, which overcame all evil and blotted out all sins.

Jesus, You invite me to raise my eyes to the Father and to accept his wealth of grace. Together with the Peter and the other apostles, I exclaim in gratitude:

“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! By his great mercy we have been born anew to a living hope through the Resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, and to an inheritance which is imperishable, undefiled, and unfading, kept in heaven for you, who by God’s power are guarded through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.”

1 Peter 1: 3–5

Father, thank You for pouring out Your grace and life-giving justification for me and for many through the grace of one man, Your Son (Romans 5:18).

Thank You, Father, for giving us Your Son, who was obedient so that grace and justice would reign through Him, bringing us eternal life (Romans 5:15–21).

Lord, You invite me to carry this Easter joy and the gift of grace to all nations and all peoples, to the end of the world (Matthew 28:19). Bless my mission, through which You call me in Your love.

Jesus, You said to Martha,

“I am the Resurrection and the life; he who believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live; and whoever lives and believes in me shall never die. Do you believe this?”

John 11:25–26

In this prayer for Easter, I ask that my heart will always give the same answer Martha did:

“Yes, Lord; I believe that you are the Christ, the Son of God, he who is coming into the world.”

John 11:27
