Most of us are constantly dealing with long to-do lists and mountains of necessary tasks. This prayer can help you put your daily commitments before the Lord and invite Him into your workday.
Lord,
This morning I open my heart before you—as well as the never-ending list of all the tasks and meetings I have to do today.
Jesus, please give me focus and inner peace to tackle successfully all the commitments on my list.

You know I find many of them challenging, and some are uncomfortable to me. Lord, I want to complete them with Your help. Strengthen my will.
Send your Holy Spirit to fall upon me so that you can inspire me through work. I never want to let you out of my creative process.
Jesus, take away from me any anxiety, haste, superficiality, and lack of interest. Like the psalmist, I want to know what you want to reveal to me through my work:
“Show me your ways, Lord, teach me your paths. Guide me in your truth and teach me, for you are God my Savior, and my hope is in you all day long.”
Psalm 25:4-5
Lord, I want to accept all the gifts and insights you will offer me so that I can carry out this day according to your plan. Let me not run out of confidence in you despite my weaknesses, the shortcomings of others, or the criticism I will receive. Show, in my helplessness and uncertainty, your strength.
Jesus, you know each person I will talk to or meet today. Bless them all and grant that I may always have the right and loving words for them.
Lord, let me take care of my well-being and health as well. Remind me to eat healthy food, exercise, and enable me to relax when I can.
Lord, grant that I may lie down to rest in the evening with a sense of joy and gratitude for this successful day I have spent with You.
Amen.
