Good morning, Lord Jesus. I come to you in the quiet of this new day, my heart full of expectation. Thank you for your Word, which is so alive and personal, as if you were speaking directly to me today.
Just like your disciples once did, I too experience moments when everything seems clear. When your truth shines in my soul, it feels as though I understand everything. In these moments, Lord, I want to repeat their words from my heart and make them my own: I now believe that you came from God.
You are the Christ, the Son of the living God
Yes, Lord, today I want to confess my faith in you clearly and boldly. Not because I understand everything, but because I know that you know all things.
Just as Peter, inspired by you, came to know who you are, I too confess today:
“You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God.” (Matthew 16:16)
I accept this truth and thank you for the gift of faith you have placed in my heart. With the entire Church, I proclaim:
“We have come to believe and to know that you are the Holy One of God.” (John 6:69)
But you, Jesus, know my fragility. You know how quickly this resolute faith of mine can wither at the first trial. You yourself told the disciples that the hour was coming when they would be scattered, leaving you all alone.
And what about me, Lord? How many times have I fled to my own place of fear, doubt, and anxiety, leaving you alone in my heart?
I confess my weakness. But your words do not end with predicting my faithlessness. They continue with the promise of your faithfulness: “Yet I am not alone, for my Father is with me.”
And this promise of the Father’s presence is for me as well.
“So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” (Isaiah 41:10)
Your call echoes within me as a command of love and courage:
“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.” (Joshua 1:9)
You Are My Peace in the Midst of Trouble
Lord, you told us that in this world we will have trouble. Thank you for being honest with us. You do not promise a life free from hardship, but something far better: peace in you.
Your peace does not depend on outward circumstances, but on the knowledge that you have overcome the world. You are my peace, O Lord; you are my victory.
Today, I want to cling to you. I want to live out this truth—that my salvation lies in acknowledging you as my Lord and believing in the power of your resurrection.
“If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.” (Romans 10:9)
With this faith in my heart, I step into this day. I trust in you, Lord, for you have overcome the world.
Amen.
AMEN!!!
Amen ❤️ 🙏
