Heavenly Father,
I worship and honor you for being such a loving and faithful Father to my family and me.
Lord, thank you for your good plans for my life.
Thank you for accepting me and patiently inviting me to grow in you.
Right now, I pray that you touch my heart and transform me as I read your word.
In Hebrews 4:12, you said:
Indeed, the word of God is living and effective, sharper than any two-edged sword,

Penetrating even between soul and spirit, joints and marrow, and able to discern reflections and thoughts of the heart.
Lord, I understand that the state of my heart is significant to you, and you want it right at all times.
I confess that sometimes there are doubts, bitterness, fear, and other unhealthy stuff in my heart.
I cannot hide my heart from you because you see beyond the outside.
Yet, Lord, I know you will clean me up when I lay them bare before you.
I can see this in Luke 11:37-41:
After he had spoken, a Pharisee invited him to dine at his home. He entered and reclined at table to eat.
The Pharisee was amazed to see that he did not observe the prescribed washing before the meal.
The Lord said to him, “Oh you Pharisees!
Although you cleanse the outside of the cup and the dish, inside you are filled with plunder and evil.
You fools! Did not the maker of the outside also make the inside?
But as to what is within, give alms, and behold, everything will be clean for you.
So, Lord, forgive me for giving in to any negativity in my heart and covering it on the outside.
I ask the Blood of Jesus to clean me up inside and outside.
Restore the joy I have each time I think of you and all the good things you do for me.
I need your mercy to sustain me every day, Father.
David is saying the same thing in Psalms 119:41, 43-45, 47-48:
Let Your mercies come also to me, O Lord— Your salvation according to Your word.
And take not the word of truth utterly out of my mouth, for I have hoped in Your ordinances.
So shall I keep Your law continually, forever and ever. And I will walk at liberty, for I seek Your precepts.
And I will delight myself in Your commandments, which I love.
My hands also I will lift up to Your commandments, which I love, and I will meditate on your statutes.
My Jesus, no one can stand without you, no matter who they are or how hard they try.
This is why I turn to you for help, knowing that you will sustain me. You are a faithful God who will help me love and please you.
In Jesus’ name, I pray.
Amen.
