Morning Prayer for Today – Prayer Of Thanks

Dear God,

I am reading your word in Psalm 95:2-3:

Let’s come before His presence with a song of thanksgiving; let’s shout joyfully to Him in songs with instruments.

For the Lord is a great God and a great King above all gods.

Lord, I want to use this moment to thank you and offer a sacrifice of thanksgiving to you because you alone deserve it.

Your word says in Psalms 92:

It is good to give thanks to the Lord and to sing praises to Your name, Most High; to declare Your goodness in the morning and Your faithfulness by night,

For You, Lord, have made me joyful by what You have done, I will sing for joy over the works of Your hands.

Thank you, Lord, for your incredible power and work in my life and in the lives of my loved ones.

I thank you for your goodness and your blessings over us. Thank you for your tremendous love and care.

Thank you for the gift of your Son, Jesus, for our redemption to eternal life, hope and peace.

Forgive me for those moments when I complained and didn’t thank you as I should have. Thank you for forgiving me when I couldn’t recognise your kindness.

Father, please help me set my eyes and heart on you daily. Renew my spirit, and fill me with your peace and joy. 

Lord, I love you and need you today and every day. Receive my thanks now and always, Father.
