Morning Prayer for Today – Make Us Of The Same Mind

Father God,

Your earnest desire is to see your children grow into maturity in Christ as we steadily walk in your light.

Through your word, you are constantly instructing and blessing us.

Lord, I pray you make us of one mind together through the power of your Spirit in all of us.

Although you deal with us individually, I believe it takes all of us saints all over the world, to make up Your divine family.

In Philippians 2:1-4, your Word says:

If there is any encouragement in Christ, any solace in love, any participation in the Spirit, any compassion and mercy,

Complete my joy by being of the same mind, with the same love, united in heart, thinking one thing.

Do nothing out of selfishness or out of vainglory; rather, humbly regard others as more important than yourselves,

Each looking out not for his own interests, but also everyone for those of others.

Lord, I know that in the world today, so many things fight against the unity of your children.

Selfishness, hate, anger, bitterness, grief, pride, and others continually contend against our oneness.

However, Lord, I pray that your love prevails in the hearts of your people everywhere. Awaken us to love one another.

You have said that this love signifies that we are your disciples, and the world will believe when we show it.

With our own human abilities, this will be difficult, but by your grace, we can do all things.

Help us look beyond physical appearances, race, gender, or social status and deal with everyone through genuine love like Jesus.

Lord, revive our hearts and let us become our brothers' keepers the way we are meant to.

In Jesus' name, I pray.
