Morning Prayer for Today – Lord, You Are My Light

Dearest Father,

Thank you for being the Light of my life. Without you, I will be swallowed up by complete darkness.

Knowing that no amount of darkness in the world can snuff out my Light gives me so much comfort.

Lord, I pray that your Light will continue illuminating my heart and guiding and directing me on your safe path.

My faith in you has increased because you have never abandoned or failed me.

I am reading Psalms 27:

The Lord is my Light and my salvation; whom should I fear? The Lord is the defense of my life; whom should I dread?

Hear, Lord, when I cry with my voice, be gracious and answer me.

When You said, “Seek My face,” my heart said, “I shall seek Your face, Lord.”

Teach me Your way, Lord, and lead me on a level path because of my enemies.

Father, please help me turn to and depend on you for guidance when I make any decision in my life.

You have given me your word so that as I study it daily, my heart will be flooded with its Light.

Your word is reliable; I can depend on your Spirit to instruct and empower me for victory.

Therefore, let me never stop walking in your Light for as long as I live.

I pray for this in Jesus’ name.
