Morning Prayer for Today – Let Me Walk In Godliness

Father God,

Thank you for the beautiful gift of salvation you gave me through the sacrifice of your Son, Jesus.

You saved and purged me of every element that did not look like you.

Lord, today, I pray that your grace keeps me within the blessed hope of salvation and away from all ungodliness.

I am reading Titus 2:11-14:

For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation to all people, 

Instructing us to deny ungodliness and worldly desires and to live sensibly, righteously, and in a godly manner in the present age, 

Looking for the blessed hope and the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Christ Jesus, 

Who gave Himself for us to redeem us from every lawless deed, and to purify for Himself a people for His own possession, eager for good deeds.

Father, your word clarifies how you want me to live on this earth – denying ungodliness and living sensibly in a godly manner.

Lord, this is my desire as well. And so, I ask you to strengthen me with grace to walk in it daily.

Fix my eyes on Jesus, and ignite a strong desire in my heart for goodness everywhere I go.

I surrender my heart to you, Lord. Shine your light on my world through me and bring your salvation to the unsaved.

It gives me great joy knowing you always listen to my prayers. Thank you, Lord.
