Morning Prayer for Today – Let Me Stay Focused

Heavenly Father,

I worship you today. You are a perfect Father, and I love how you care for me.

You have given me the great blessing of being called your child. Lord, help me to value and maximize this great blessing every day and everywhere.

Lord, help me find refreshing as I spend this time with you in prayer.

I am contemplating your word in Galatians 2:20:

I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; 

And the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me.

Lord, I confess that the dark clouds and the rampaging storms of life sometimes make me forget your goodness and will for my life.

Sometimes, I allow my desires and aspirations to lead me in the opposite direction of my purpose in life.

But Lord, your mercy always calls me back to what is right and proper.

Please, I am asking that you help me to live for you. I overcome every distraction seeking to take my eyes off you.

Let me never stop trusting you. Let me never stop seeking you. Let me never lose my love and passion for you and for what’s right.

I receive your grace now because I know that I can do everything with it.

In Jesus’ name, I pray.
