Great Redeemer,
Lord, I can stand before You blameless, not by the works I have done, but because of what Jesus has done.
I consider Your word in Titus 3:5:
He saved us, not on the basis of deeds which we did in righteousness, but in accordance with His mercy,
By the washing of regeneration and renewing by the Holy Spirit.
Father, You have saved me by Your mercy and Spirit working in me. I can do nothing to earn Your righteousness except have faith in Christ Jesus.
Sometimes in trying to please You, I depend on my works and my efforts of righteousness.
But I am pondering on your word in Ephesians 2:8-9:
For by grace you have been saved through faith; and this is not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not a result of works, so that no one may boast.
I am reminded that my salvation does not come from my works of righteousness and that I have no hope without your grace.
I put my faith in what the Lord Jesus has done for me. Therefore, I am forever worthy before You.
Thank you, Lord.
In Jesus’ name, I pray.
Amen.
