Morning Prayer for Today – Keep Me Safe

Lord, 

I thank you for always watching over me. You are always protecting me even when I am not aware.

There are many evils around, which makes the days uncertain for many. Everyone lives in constant fear, whichever way they turn.

Yet, I am safe because you are my protector. I will not fear the evils around me because you are with me.

Your word says in Psalms 91:3-8:

For it is He who rescues you from the net of the trapper and from the deadly plague.

He will cover you with His pinions, and under His wings you may take refuge; His faithfulness is a shield and wall.

You will not be afraid of the terror by night, or of the arrow that flies by day; of the plague that stalks in darkness,

Or of the destruction that devastates at noon. A thousand may fall at your side and ten thousand at your right hand,

But it shall not approach you. You will only look on with your eyes and see the retaliation against the wicked.

Father, when I step out, let your mighty hand of protection continue to cover me and keep me safe until I return home.

Let your angels go before me and avert every accident, attack, or hazard on my way.

This is your promise to everyone who trusts you, and I am sure you will fulfill it in my life.

In Jesus’ name, I pray.
