Morning Prayer for Today – Jesus, Be My Centre

Lord Jesus,

Thank you for the joy of salvation; for righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Ghost. Thank you for the hope of eternity I have found in you

As I think about my relationship with you, Lord, my heart desires to live for you because you died for me.

I am contemplating what your word says in 1John 4:17:

By this, love is perfected with us, so that we may have confidence in the day of judgment; because as He is, we also are in this world.

And you also said in John 14:19:

After a little while, the world no longer is going to see Me, but you are going to see Me; because I live, you also will live.

Lord, I want to go out today living in the light of my faith and salvation in you, not like one without you. Let everything I do spring from this consciousness.

When I talk to others, I want to speak as if you are speaking through me. Let me love them, not for their sake but for your sake.

When others offend me, let me forgive them. Not because they apologise or feel sorry but because you also forgive me when I sin.

Lord Jesus, let my life be planted so deeply in you that I begin to bear the fruits of Heaven here on the earth.

Let me not give up if things don’t go the way I expect them at once. Instead, let your spirit empower me to grow, knowing that your love for me is everlasting.

Lord, let the fruits of my life continue to bless those around me daily as I trust you to live your life through me.
