Morning prayer for today – I Am Never Alone

Dear Lord,

In You, I find comfort and refuge. I have assurance in Your Word that whatever You say, You will do. You are faithful, and Your promises are true. I rest in the knowledge that Your Word is the foundation of my hope and peace, and in You, I find rest for my soul. You are my rock, my fortress, and my deliverer. With You, I am never alone, and I can always rely on Your unfailing love.

Today, I am contemplating Your word on 1 John 5:14-15:

This is the confidence which we have before Him, that, if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us.

And if we know that He hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests which we have asked from Him.

Lord, today, I remind myself that even when it feels like my prayers are unanswered, You are always listening. Your ear is ever inclined to hear the cries of Your children, and I am never too far from Your attention. Even in the quiet moments, when I feel like I am waiting in vain, You are at work behind the scenes, orchestrating the details of my life. And because You listen to me, then I can trust that my prayers will never fall on deaf ears. Your answers may not always look the way I expect, but I know that You always hear and always answer according to Your perfect will.

I pray that I will not grow weary in my prayers and supplication to You. When doubt and discouragement begin to creep in, remind me of Your faithfulness. Strengthen my spirit to persevere, even when the journey feels long and the road is unclear. I ask for more grace and passion in my prayer life, that my words may align with Your will and my heart may beat in rhythm with Yours. Help me to persist in prayer, not out of obligation, but out of a deep longing to be in Your presence and to see Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

This is what You have promised in Isaiah 65:24:

It will also come to pass that before they call, I will answer; while they are still speaking, I will listen.

Lord, I know that Your word is true. You have promised that even before I call out to You, You will answer. Your timing is perfect, and Your heart is always toward me. Therefore, I will not be weary. I will trust that You are always working, even when I cannot see the full picture.

The answers may not come as I expect or when I expect, but each time spent in Your presence brings me closer to Your heart. I trust that You are shaping me in ways I cannot understand, and each moment of waiting is an opportunity to grow in faith and reliance on You.

Let me take cover in the sweet fellowship of Your Holy Spirit as I draw strength, waiting for Your good plans to unfold in my life. Teach me to trust the process, knowing that You are always at work, even when I cannot see it. In the moments of waiting, may I find joy in Your presence and peace in the knowledge that Your plans for me are always good.
