Morning Prayer for Today – I Will Be On Guard

Dear Lord,

I am very much aware of the enemy of my soul, the devil.

I know he hates that my faith is fully cast on you and does everything to distract and bring me down.

You are saying in 1 Peter 5:8-9:

Be of sober spirit, be on the alert. 

Your adversary, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.

So resist him, firm in your faith, knowing that the same experiences of suffering are being accomplished by your brothers and sisters who are in the world.

Lord, my commitment is to you for the rest of my life. Therefore, I will only choose your way, which is the way of wisdom.

Lord, as I go out and come in, teach and empower me to walk as a beacon of your light, love, and hope.

Please open my eyes in vigilance against the tricks of satan and empower me to resist him on every attempt he makes.

I know he plans to attack my health, family, business, finances, and relationships. Please, let me not be ignorant of his petty schemes. 

Lord, by your power, I overcame all his forces, and by your mighty name, I resist them.

I will walk in the Spirit and so walk in wisdom, and supernatural intelligence, making profitable decisions all the time.

In Jesus' name, I pray.
