Morning Prayer for Today – I Run To You

Sovereign God,

You are awesome and mighty. The world is in Your hands, and You control the winds and the waves. 

The universe declares your majesty, and the stars reflect your glory. Nothing happens on earth without your knowledge. My very breath is in Your hands.

It is a great privilege to know, be loved, be known by you, and call you my Father.

Lord, today, I am reading your word in Proverbs 18:10:

The name of the Lord is a strong tower; the righteous runs into it and is safe.

Father, you have continued to prove that your name is a strong tower in my life. I can always depend on you.

Therefore, Lord, I run under your protective cover again and again. I pray for Your protection as I step into your plans today. 

You are my hiding place; I can always find refuge under Your wings. Protect me from trouble wherever I go, and keep evil far from me.

No matter where I am, I will look to You as my Protector, who fights for me daily.

Today I remain confident that even when I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil because I am sure you are with me.

Lord, let Your love, faithfulness, and mercy surround me constantly, so I will not fear whatever might come against me.

I trust You, God, and thank You for Your love and protection.

In Jesus’ name, I pray.
