Morning Prayer for Today – I Break Free

Heavenly Father, 

I worship you today because you are worthy of my praise, and nobody is like you.

It is your great pleasure to see your children living free of pain, shame, reproach and all forms of bondage.

I know this because your word says in Psalms 107:

They wandered in the wilderness in a desert region; they did not find a way to an inhabited city.

They were hungry and thirsty; their souls felt weak within them. Then they cried out to the Lord in their trouble;

He saved them from their distresses. For He has satisfied the thirsty soul, and He has filled the hungry soul with what is good.

He brought them out of darkness and the shadow of death and broke their bands apart.

And so, Lord, I receive your liberating power into my life now. Let it free me from every stronghold of the devil to keep me down.

I break free from every chain trying to keep me in the past through trauma, bitterness, shame, or addiction.

Jesus has set me free through His work on the Cross. Therefore, I am free indeed.

The Bible says in John 8:36:

So if the Son sets you free, you really will be free.

As I go about my daily business, I refuse to accept satan’s lies meant to bring me down.

I will only walk in the light of God’s divine gift of freedom for me.

In Jesus’ name, I pray.
