Father God,
I exalt your great name with the breath of life you have given me.
I affirm once more that I was made to worship you, and so I will do.
Lord, you are always watching over me and have not allowed the enemy to touch or destroy me.
I take this moment to express my gratitude to you.
Like the Psalmist, I remember that I was made for this purpose: to serve you on earth and declare your goodness everywhere.
This is what I am reading in Psalm 105:2-7

Sing praise to him, play music; proclaim all his wondrous deeds!
Glory in his holy name; let hearts that seek the Lord rejoice! Seek out the Lord and his might; constantly seek his face.
Recall the wondrous deeds he has done, his wonders and words of judgment,
You descendants of Abraham his servant, offspring of Jacob the chosen one!
He the Lord, is our God whose judgments reach through all the earth.
And so, Jesus, I pray for the strength of your Spirit for commitment in service to you.
I don’t just want to live. I want to bring pleasure to You everywhere I go.
Let me show love and care to the rejected and discouraged.
Let me be a walking example of everything that your Word has said.
This is what you meant in Luke 11:27-28
While he was speaking, a woman from the crowd called out and said to him,
“Blessed is the womb that carried you and the breasts at which you nursed.”
He replied, “Rather, blessed are those who hear the word of God and observe it.”
And so Lord, because you are very much concerned about what we do with your Word, let me not fail you as I practice it.
Give me a heart that yearns for your Word to obey it.
Jesus, let everyone I come in contact with today experience you in me as I walk in the light of all that your Word says.
And let your glory radiate all around me, causing everything I do to excel and turning everyone in darkness into the light of your saving grace.
In Jesus’ name,
Amen.
