Dear God,
When I question why you aren’t answering my prayers or why a miracle is yet to come, I know my faith is wavering.
Lord, I know that nothing is impossible for you to do, and you can do anything, but there are days when my faith comes under heavy attack, and I give in to doubt.
Though I believe what you’ve promised, I may not always be strong enough to take it to heart and sometimes falter.
As I pray today, I am contemplating your word in Mark 9:21-24:
And He asked his father, “How long has this been happening to him?” And he said, “From childhood.
It has often thrown him both into the fire and into the water to kill him. But if You can do anything, take pity on us and help us!”
But Jesus said to him, “‘If You can?’ All things are possible for the one who believes.”
Immediately the boy’s father cried out and said, “I do believe; help my unbelief!”
Like this man, Lord, I pray you to help me stand firm in the faith. Help me believe you can move the mountains and quiet the storms I face.
I pray for the grace to wait on you patiently and insist on faith until my miracles appear. Let me not give up on you because of my bad days.
Instead, let me rest in your assurance and rejoice in the hope that you can do what you said you would do in my life.
Thank you for answering my prayers, Lord.
My faith will never be the same.
In Jesus’ name, I pray.
Amen.
