Morning Prayer for Today – Come To My Aid

Father God,

I give you the glory for your goodness and compassion that never fails me.

Thank you for providing a way for me to always make my requests known to you through prayers.

I can leave my burdens and grief behind in your presence and find your peace and rest for my soul.

Your Word says in Psalms 34:

The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears and rescues them from all their troubles.

The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.

The afflictions of the righteous are many, but the Lord rescues him from them all.  He protects all his bones, not one of them is broken.

The LORD redeems the lives of his servants; no one incurs guilt who takes refuge in him.

Father, you are all I have. My Source and my Sustainer.

You see and understand the things that words are unable to express. You alone can hear the cry of my heart.

Lord, the burdens of daily life, family, business, finance, and the present crisis bears upon my soul.

You are the helper of the helpless and the friend to those in need. When others turn their backs on me, you are always consistent.

And so, I lay down this pressing need before you, and I ask you to come to my aid.

Take away the object of shame and reproach, and make me an instrument of praise through your miracle in my life, Lord.

I believe you will come through for me, and so I give you the praise.

In Jesus’ name, I pray.
