Morning Prayer for Today – Bless Our Nation

Lord God,

You have said that each of your children all around the world is a light bringing your glory into our nations.

Through our prayers and your work through us, light can prevail over the darkness that seeks that take over our people.

Today, I take my position in prayer, Lord, asking for your blessing upon this land where I reside.

I am contemplating your word from Jeremiah 29:7:

Seek the prosperity of the city where I have sent you into exile, and pray to the Lord in its behalf; for in its prosperity will be your prosperity.’

Lord, bless this land and prosper her. Raise good leaders with a heart for the nation who will make the right decisions that benefit the people.

You also said in Psalms 33:12:

Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord, the people He has chosen for His own inheritance.

I declare that you are the God of this nation. Hearts are turning to you in this land.

I pray the eyes of the blind are opened and your light shines into every life where darkness reigns.

On behalf of my people, I speak peace and safety over the atmosphere, economic prosperity and advancement in all fields.

Thank you for answering my prayer, as always.
