Dearest Heavenly Father,
I am most grateful for your blessing to me every day. Thank you for your unconditional love as well.
Lord, I am asking for your grace to help me show others this same kindness and love I have received from you.
I am reading from Luke 14:12-14:
On a sabbath, Jesus went to dine at the home of one of the leading Pharisees.
He said to the host who invited him,
“When you hold a lunch or a dinner, do not invite your friends or your brothers or sisters or your relatives or your wealthy neighbors,

In case they may invite you back and you have repayment.
Rather, when you hold a banquet, invite the poor, the crippled, the lame, the blind;
Blessed indeed will you be because of their inability to repay you. For you will be repaid at the resurrection of the righteous.”
Father, I can never repay you or even deserve the gift of your love or kindness to me, no matter what I do or don’t do.
However, I know as long as I live, I will have the opportunity to share this with others who cannot repay me.
You are saying in Matthew 5:45-48:
So that you may prove yourselves to be sons of your Father who is in heaven;
For He causes His sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous.
For if you love those who love you, what reward do you have? Even the tax collectors, do they not do the same?
And if you greet only your brothers and sisters, what more are you doing than others? Even the Gentiles, do they not do the same?
Therefore you shall be perfect, as your heavenly Father is perfect.
Father, I know this will glorify your name and help me spread the light of Jesus to those around me.
So, please give me a heart of compassion that profoundly feels the needs of others as I go out today.
And let this compassion flow out through kind acts, words, thoughts, and prayers to everyone at every chance I get.
In Jesus’ name, I pray.
Amen.
