Morning Prayer for Today – My Heart Is Commited

I worship you, my dear Father.

I am amazed at how you remain true to me, standing by me and sustaining me daily.

Thank you for blessing me with another beautiful day today.

Lord, I ask that you help me as I pray for myself and Christians all over the world.

I am reading from your word in Galatians 4:22-24, 26, and 31-5:1:

For it is written that Abraham had two sons, one by the slave woman and the other by the freeborn woman. 

The son of the slave woman was born naturally, the son of the freeborn through a promise.

Now this is an allegory. These women represent two covenants. One was from Mount Sinai, bearing children for slavery; this is Hagar.

But the Jerusalem above is freeborn, and she is our mother. 

Therefore, brothers, we are children not of the slave woman but of the freeborn woman.

For freedom Christ set us free; so stand firm and do not submit again to the yoke of slavery.

So, Lord, I pray that other saints and I will have a steady heart submitted only to Jesus Christ.

Don’t allow me to become a captive to the things Jesus delivered me from.

Father, because you have set me free, keep my heart humble and submissive to your Lordship all the days of my life.

You are saying again in Psalms 95:8:

If today you hear his voice, harden not your hearts.

So, Lord, touch my heart and remove every pride or lust.

Let me hear and obey Your instructions when you speak to me through your Spirit.

Jesus, I am asking for your help because I know this is how I make progress as your child on earth: One with a heart that is committed to you.

You are repeating the same thing in Luke 11:29-32:

While still more people gathered in the crowd, he said to them,

“This generation is an evil generation; it seeks a sign, but no sign will be given it, except the sign of Jonah. 

Just as Jonah became a sign to the Ninevites, so will the Son of Man be to this generation. 

At the judgment the queen of the south will rise with the men of this generation and she will condemn them, 

because she came from the ends of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon, and there is something greater than Solomon here. 

At the judgment the men of Nineveh will arise with this generation and condemn it, because at the preaching of Jonah they repented, and there is something greater than Jonah here.

Jesus, I don’t need to wait for any more signs. I know that you are King of kings and Lord of lords.

Strengthen my commitment to you.

Strengthen my love for you, and help me follow you in holiness and righteousness every day of my life.
