Prayer for Loneliness and Illness

Lord, thank you for being my doctor and Savior. Jesus, thank you for visiting me in my loneliness and filling that separation from others with your royal presence.

Thank you. It is during the time I spend in bed that I get to know You and Your wisdom the most. Now I have time to gaze at You and talk to You.

Lord, I praise You for giving me new energy and renewing my body. Let my body be strong and able to overcome obstacles and demanding tasks again. Let me improve my health with physical exercise as well (and help me remember to do it!).

God, in my illness, thank you for speaking to me through the story of King David, who came before you and sang in faithfulness. Feed my heart and mind with his song to make room in me for even more of you and Your healing:
