Morning Prayer for Today – Thank You For Your Son

Heavenly Father,

I join the host of saints in thanking you for the precious gift of your Son, Jesus.

Redemption and salvation would not be possible without the birth of the Holy Child through the Virgin Mary.

Your word says in Isaiah 9:6-7:

For a Child will be born to us, a Son will be given to us; and the government will rest on His shoulders;

And His name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace.

There will be no end to the increase of His government or of peace on the throne of David and over his kingdom,

To establish it and to uphold it with justice and righteousness from then on and forevermore.

The zeal of the Lord of armies will accomplish this.

Father, through this holy incarnation of the Son, Jesus, you brought hope, joy, peace, and goodwill to all humanity.

I can see your nature of love and mercy in all of this, and I can’t help but fall in love with you over again.

It reminds me of what the Bible says in Romans 8:31-32:

What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who is against us?

He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him over for us all, how will He not also with Him freely give us all things?

If you loved me enough to send your only Son for my salvation, I am still convinced you will take care of me completely.

Therefore, I rest in you and joyfully praise you today.
