Morning Prayer for Today – Take Control, Lord

Father,

I am reading what your word says in Psalms 77:11-15:

I shall remember the deeds of the Lord; I will certainly remember Your wonders of old. I will meditate on all Your work, and on Your deeds with thanksgiving.

Your way, God, is holy; what god is great like our God? You are the God who works wonders; you have made known Your strength among the peoples.

By Your power You have redeemed Your people, the sons of Jacob and Joseph. 

Lord, I stand on the testimony of your good works around me and as recorded in your word.

You will never abandon or fail in anything I entrust to your hands. Therefore, I request your intervention in my present situation and circumstances today. 

Please take control of my life and turn things around for me good. I need You to comfort me, show me Your ways, and give me direction.

Let the worries and dismay in my heart be removed entirely. Replace them with solid confidence in your intervention and love.

Father, take my hand and fight all my battles for me. I can’t fight them on my own.

Replace my strength with yours. Where I can’t speak, speak for me. Where I have no power to stand up for myself, please arise on my behalf.

Take over terminal situations. I hand over my helplessness to you and choose to rest in this confidence, knowing you are in control.

Thank you for stepping in for me. I will continue to testify of your goodness now and always.
