Morning Prayer for Today – Let Me Be Content

Dear God,

Thank you for your amazing power evidently working in my life. I thank you for your tremendous love and care. Thank you for your sacrifice so that I might have freedom and life. 

Your word says in Proverbs 28:25:

An arrogant person stirs up strife, but one who trusts in the Lord will prosper.

Father, today I ask you to continually bring to my mind your faithful provision for all my needs.

Help me remember that I have everything in Christ and that godliness with contentment is a greater gain than all earthly possessions.

When things do not work out how I want or expect, help me be contented and believe that Your grace is sufficient for me.

Please, reassure me of your presence and light amid hardship because I have the grace to do all things well with You.

I pray for Your help to enable me to love the life I live right now. Please show me the good things I often overlook and help me to be content with what I have.

Forgive me when I compare myself to others. Thank you for loving me right where I am, right as I am. Please help me keep my eyes on you.

In Jesus’ name, I pray.
