Lord Jesus,
I humble myself under your mighty hand today. You are the King above all kings and the Lord of lords. You will exalt me when the time is right.
I acknowledge that you are the true vine and the Father is the vinedresser. Those who receive you by faith become a part of your body, and the Father takes care of them.
I am contemplating your words in John 15:3-5:
You are already clean because of the word which I have spoken to you. Remain in Me, and I in you.
Just as the branch cannot bear fruit of itself but must remain in the vine, so neither can you unless you remain in Me.
I am the vine, you are the branches; the one who remains in Me, and I in him bears much fruit, for apart from Me you can do nothing.
Lord, I know you have the right to take away any unfruitful branch and prune the fruitful ones so they can bear more fruit.
Therefore, please teach me to remain in you and you in me. Just as no branch can survive on its own, even so, I cannot survive without you.
You paid the ultimate price for my salvation. Please, let me glorify you with my body, mind, and possessions as they belong to you.
Let me use my material and non-material blessings as a wise manager of your resources since they all come from you.
I praise you because all things are yours, and all power belongs to you. There is nothing you cannot do.
Today, teach me to live with the satisfaction that I have all that matters with you, and all my needs will be supplied.
In Jesus’ name, I pray.
Amen.
