Morning Prayer for Today – Keep Me Safe From Harm

Lord Almighty,

Your name is a place of safety for everyone who runs to you.

No matter what we are up against, you always rescue us when we trust you.

And so, Father, I ask for your hedge of protection around me as I go about my business daily.

Be with me both when I am away from home and when I return.

Your word says in Psalm 124:

“Had it not been the Lord who was on our side when people rose up against us,

Then they would have swallowed us alive, when their anger was kindled against us;

Then the waters would have flooded over us, the stream would have swept over our souls;

Then the raging waters would have swept over our souls.”

Our souls have escaped like a bird from the trapper’s snare; the snare is broken and we have escaped.

Our help is in the name of the Lord, who made heaven and earth.

Lord, protect my family everywhere from the eyes of wicked individuals or groups looking for people to prey upon.

For your love’s sake, Lord, keep my community and property safe from insecurities and losses. Let all plans to harm me not succeed.

But let me continue to dwell safely under the shadow of your wings, shining your light on everyone I come in contact with.

In Jesus’ name, I pray.
