My father,
You keep blessing me with your love, ensuring that my loved ones and I are surrounded by your mercy, your protection, and your watchful eyes—even when we don’t see it.
I am most grateful, Lord. You are not only the God of the big moments, the milestones, the miracles—I’ve seen you in the quiet, too. In the breath I take before I speak.
In the delay that saved me from the accident. In the sudden peace that came before I cried. You are always near.
As I step into this new day, Lord, I ask you to help me walk with the awareness that I do not go alone.
Whether I face heavy traffic, tense meetings, unexpected interruptions, or just the quiet frustrations that pile up over time—help me remember that your Spirit walks before me, beside me, and behind me.
Let me not give in to fear, no matter what I face. Fear often creeps in unnoticed, sometimes disguised as self-doubt, or that persistent voice whispering, “You’re not enough. You won’t make it this time.” But you have already spoken louder.
Your word says in Joshua 1:
“Every place on which the sole of your foot steps, I have given it to you, just as I spoke to Moses.
No one will be able to oppose you all the days of your life.
Just as I have been with Moses, I will be with you; I will not desert you nor abandon you.
Be strong and courageous…
Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous!
Do not be terrified nor dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”
Lord, today might bring conflict. It might bring criticism. It might bring decisions I’m not ready to make, people I don’t know how to love, or tasks I just don’t feel strong enough to finish.
But your voice is louder than my fear. You are my God, and you are bigger than anything or anyone who might oppose me. You are not only the Creator of the world—you are the keeper of my schedule, my heart, my peace.
Therefore, I will walk into this day with courage. With confidence that is not rooted in my resume, or my to-do list, or my self-discipline—but in your presence.
If a moment comes when I am tempted to stay silent, give me boldness to speak with love and truth.
If an opportunity comes to stand for what is right—even when it is uncomfortable—give me clarity, and the strength to do it without bitterness or pride. Let my courage never be rude, but rooted in grace.
Lord, I don’t want to just survive the day—I want to reflect you in it. At the grocery store, in the school drop-off line, on Zoom calls, during awkward conversations, and in the still moments when no one is watching—I want your light to be seen.
Let me be slow to anger when the coffee spills or the child throws a tantrum or the email pushes my buttons. Let me be quick to forgive when I’m wronged or overlooked. Let my words carry the fragrance of heaven even in earthly situations.
There is no fear in me because I am your child. My Father—my Abba—loves and protects me always. Even when things don’t go my way, I am never outside of your care. Even in failure, I am never outside of your plan.
Thank you for your unshakable presence. Thank you for the cross. Thank you for the Holy Spirit, who comforts and corrects and champions me every hour of the day.
In Jesus’ powerful name, I pray.
Amen.
