Morning Prayer for Today – Fill Me With Your Love

Precious Holy Spirit,

Thank You for loving me.

You don’t love me because I deserve it. You have loved me even before I came to realize and acknowledge You.

You are the gift of the Father’s love to me. You are love, and You live in me.

I admit that sometimes I forget that You are here. I often allow my human emotions to lead me, keeping me from expressing Your character of love in my heart.

But I come to You today and ask that You fill my heart with Your love, Lord. Let Your love consume every part of my being so that there is no room for fear, bitterness, resentment, or doubt. Let Your love transform the way I see myself and those around me. May my heart overflow with compassion, kindness, and understanding, mirroring the very essence of who You are.

Your Word promises in Ezekiel 36:26:

And I will give you a new heart—I will give you new and right desires—and put a new spirit within you. I will take out your stony hearts of sin and give you new hearts of love.

Lord, I receive a heart of love today. Even on days when my flesh wants to go against expressing love, I will lean into Your love until it finds full expression. When my patience is tested, I will remember that love is patient. When I am tempted to keep a record of wrongs, I will remind myself that love keeps no record of offenses. When I struggle to forgive, I will remember that love always forgives. Holy Spirit, let my love be genuine, pure, and reflective of Your perfect love.

I declare I have the right desires and a spirit that conforms to Christ’s nature. I no longer want to be ruled by emotions that are fleeting or by feelings that shift with circumstances. Instead, I desire to be anchored in Your eternal love, a love that remains constant through every storm, every trial, and every season of my life. Make my heart sensitive to Your leading so that I may love as You love, serve as You serve, and give as You give.

I am contemplating Your Word in Luke 10:27:

And he answered,
“You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your strength, and with all your mind; and your neighbor as yourself.”

Holy One, I pray for a heart filled with love for You and everyone around me. May my love for You not be shallow or based on circumstances, but may it be deep, unwavering, and ever-growing. Teach me what it truly means to love You with all my heart, soul, strength, and mind. Let every thought, every word, and every action I take be rooted in my love for You.

And Lord, help me to love my neighbor as myself. Teach me to see others through Your eyes, to extend grace where it is undeserved, and to offer kindness even when it is inconvenient. Let my thoughts and actions towards others not speak contrary to love, but let them come from a heart filled with love expressed by You only.

Fill me with a love that transcends human limitations. A love that is not conditional. A love that does not expect anything in return. A love that gives freely because it flows from the abundance of Your Spirit within me. Let Your love in me be a beacon of hope to those who are hurting, a source of comfort to those in distress, and a light to those lost in darkness.

Lord, I desire to reflect Your love in all that I do. In my conversations, in my service, in my relationships, and in my daily interactions, let love be my guiding force. May I become more like Jesus, who demonstrated the greatest love by laying down His life for us. May I live in such a way that when people see me, they see the love of Christ shining through me.

Thank You, Holy Spirit, for pouring out Your love into my heart. I receive it fully. I embrace it completely. And I commit to sharing it abundantly.
