Good morning, Creator!
Today I choose to live as a child of light and will not hide the gifts You have given me.
Lord Jesus, today You speak to me of light. You tell me that I was not created for darkness or for hiding under the bed of my own comfort and fears.
“He said to them, ‘Do you bring in a lamp to put it under a bowl or a bed? Instead, don’t you put it on its stand?'” (Mark 4:21).
So simple and so true. You have lit me, Lord. You are the One who said:
“‘I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.'” (John 8:12).
And because I follow You, You have made me a light by Your grace. You gently remind me that I am no longer darkness.
“For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Live as children of light.” (Ephesians 5:8).
Help me to live today as a child of light. I do not want to hide the gifts You have given me. I do not want to retreat into fear or indifference. Place me on a lampstand, that I may shine for Your glory.
I know that You will reveal all that is hidden in my heart and cleanse me.
“For whatever is hidden is meant to be disclosed, and whatever is concealed is meant to be brought out into the open.” (Mark 4:22).
It is Your word that illuminates my path and reveals the truth.
“Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path.” (Psalm 119:105).
Yes, Lord, may Your word today be a light for my eyes and a guide for my every step.
Lord, teach me also about measure. Teach me to be generous with my time, with a smile, with a kind word, with forgiveness. I do not want to be stingy in my giving, for I know that Your measure is always a measure of abundance.
“Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.” (Luke 6:38).
I want to have a heart that is open to Your Word and Your gifts. I do not want to be the one who has not, and have even what I have taken from me.
“Whoever has will be given more; whoever does not have, even what they have will be taken from them.” (Mark 4:25).
Give me a heart that has—one that has faith, trust, and a readiness to receive from You, so that I may give to others.
And as I shine today, Lord, may people see not me, but You. May my small actions testify to Your great love.
“In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.” (Matthew 5:16).
Thank you for calling me out of darkness and into Your marvelous light.
Amen.
Amen 🙏
Thank you lord Jesus .
