Lord,
Today I come to You just as I am: tired and without any real motivation. It feels as if everything has come to a halt, as if my plans are just a pile of ruins and my energy has run dry.
Every step feels heavy, and every thought of my responsibilities fills me with resistance. Everything feels empty and meaningless.
But it is precisely in this powerlessness that I turn to You, for I know that You are the source of all strength and all joy. I don’t want to just know in my head that You are here; I want to truly experience You.
I long for an experience of the living God, who transforms my reality and gives it meaning.
Lord, remind me that my strength does not come from success, achievements, or the feeling of having everything under control. My true strength is in You. Your Word promises me:
“Do not grieve, for the joy of the LORD is your strength.” (Nehemiah 8:10)
Thank You for renewing me when it feels like I can go on no longer. You restore my soul and give me the strength to rise above my fatigue and despondency. I want to hold on to this promise, that You give me new strength.
“but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.” (Isaiah 40:31)
Therefore, today I cast away the fear of failure and anxiety about the future. I choose not to tremble before the challenges of the day, but to place my trust in You, who are my fortress.
“The LORD is my light and my salvation—whom shall I fear? The LORD is the stronghold of my life—of whom shall I be afraid?” (Psalm 27:1)
I ask You, Holy Spirit, to come and fill me. Not with fleeting enthusiasm, but with a deep and lasting peace that transcends all understanding. Let Your hope flood my soul.
“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.” (Romans 15:13)
Your joy is not just a feeling, but a choice. A choice to trust in You, regardless of the circumstances. Today, I want to live by Your simple yet powerful command:
“Rejoice always,” (1 Thessalonians 5:16)
Thank You, because every morning is a new beginning. Thank You, for weeping and despair depart with the night. With You, I stand at a new beginning, before a day that You fill with the possibility of joy.
“weeping may stay for the night, but rejoicing comes in the morning.” (Psalm 30:5)
Amen.
