Take a moment to reflect on how people worldwide are experiencing painful job losses, grieving after losing loved ones, and being rendered homeless after forced evictions for non-payment. Many others are enduring stress and depression on an unimaginable scale.

What Do You Do When You Hit Rock Bottom?

As a Christian, what can you do when everything goes south? When all that you’ve worked for suddenly melt away. When you unexpectedly lose your attractive job, you have a family that entirely depends on you.

Sometimes, things go in the opposite direction in life, and when misfortune finally lands at your doorstep, you may feel like giving up altogether.

However, when you feel cornered and all seems lost, you must hold onto faith, carry on strong, be creative, stick your neck out, move through the pain, and finally rise again.

“But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.” — Isaiah 40:31

How Possible Is It To Make A New And Attractive Turn?

Yes, your life has hit rock bottom. You are in a sad, empty, and hopeless corner you never imagined. Amidst all this, remember there is a silver lining.

Clutch onto the last straws without worrying about how deep the waters are, and finally, the sun shall rise again in your life. The interesting question that arises is, how possible is this?

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” — Jeremiah 29:11

Critically Analyze The Cause Of Your Misfortune

First, you must clearly understand what brought you down to collect enough “ammunition” to deal with it decisively.

Your creative mind will provide you with the much-needed answers. Whatever it is, you need to accept the situation and patiently craft a way out, knowing that the moment you decide to face your giant head-on, nothing more can stop you from soaring high toward your predicament solutions.

“Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance.” — James 1:2-3

Avoid Negative Mindset

It is crucial to maintain a positive mindset, always knowing that negativity might lead you down a wrong path, a path of agony with no conceivable solutions.

It is interesting to note that the hardest lessons are also the most excellent teachers. We can either take them in stride and learn from them or dwell on the pain, scars, and unfairness of the situation.

The third important aspect is turning to your supportive circle of friends and family for help. When you seem heavily laden with problems, do not hesitate to reach out to those who love and appreciate you.

“Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor: If either of them falls down, one can help the other up. But pity anyone who falls and has no one to help them up.” — Ecclesiastes 4:9-10

Eliminate Everything That Leads To Your Stress

List everything that contributes to your stress and depression and start getting rid of it. To create better and more productive habits that will result in a stress-free life, you have to dedicatedly look at all the negative patterns you have and make a serious decision to kick them out.

Ensure you decisively work towards getting rid of or modifying them for a more productive and peaceful life.

“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!” — 2 Corinthians 5:17

    Do not allow yourself to wallow in self-pity whenever you hit rock bottom. Instead, summon the giant inside of you, no matter how dark the situation seems.

    Trust in God, be positive, and be courageous enough to take the road less traveled toward your reinvention and success. This, too, shall pass!
