Morning Prayer for Today – Reassure My Heart

Holy Spirit, 

I receive this wonderful day and all its blessings with a grateful heart.

Lord, I cannot tell what will happen to me today, but you do because you are the Spirit of the Omniscient Father.

You know the things yet to happen in my life, and you have promised to be with me no matter what I face.

You know me more than I know myself. You know what bothers my heart and what troubles my mind each day.

I am reading your word in Psalms 119:37-38:

Turn my eyes from worthless things, and give me life through your word. Reassure me of your promise, made to those who fear you.

As I do my business today at home or away from home, please fill me with the assurance of your presence, Holy Spirit.

Turn my eyes away from anything that does not matter. Let me not stay with things, feelings or events that will become burdens in my life.

Instead, take my hands and lead me on your peace and grace path where I will be safe and strengthened.

Cause your peace to flow through me, overwhelming anything, and everything meant to cause worry or fear.

Thank you for always being there, Holy Spirit. I know I can always count on you.
