Dear heavenly Father,
Thank you for a brand new day. I am most grateful for your gift of life to my family and me. I dedicate this morning to you, Jesus.
In your Word in Proverbs 21:1-6, you said:
Like a stream is the king’s heart in the hand of the LORD; wherever it pleases him, he directs it.
All the ways of a man may be right in his own eyes, but it is the LORD who proves hearts.
To do what is right and just is more acceptable to the LORD than sacrifice.
Haughty eyes and a proud heart– the tillage of the wicked is sin.
The plans of the diligent are sure of profit, but all rash haste leads certainly to poverty.
Whoever makes a fortune by a lying tongue is chasing a bubble over deadly snares.
Father, I believe you want all of us to live by these principles.
Nobody can comprehend all the truth about life in its entirety on their own. What seems right to us one day could cause us to have serious regrets the next.
I need you, Father. I confess that I cannot find true fulfillment without you.

I choose to open up myself to you today. Make my heart humble before you, so I can seek and do your will.
Let me not just be a hearer but also one who acts on everything you say.
Let me prove myself as an obedient follower of Jesus Christ by my obedience to your word. Just as you stated in Luke 8:21:
He said to them in reply, “My mother and my brothers
are those who hear the word of God and act on it.”
Before I take any decision and act on any thought, Lord, help me to find out from you if this is your will or not. And give me the strength to obey, even when I don’t completely understand it.
Do not let me steer the wheel of my life. I submit all of my plans to you, and I ask that you remove whatever displeases you and prosper what pleases you.
Father, I know I often want to give in to temptations and disobey you. I ask you, in your mercy, to do whatever it will take to save me from my bad decisions.
Loving Jesus, I am convinced you love me and want what is best for me. Therefore, I will not fear or panic. Instead, I will trust and obey.
I know everything will work out for my good because I walk according to your will today.
In Jesus’ name, I pray
Amen.
