Jeremiah Johnson Admits ‘I Missed What God Was Saying’ as Brother Claims He Faked Pro-Trump Prophecies

Jeremiah Johnson, a self-proclaimed prophet with a sizable following, stands accused by his brother, Josiah Johnson, of fabricating prophetic visions. Once deeply involved in Jeremiah’s ministry, Josiah has publicly questioned the authenticity of the prophecies that captivated many Charismatic Christians, especially those involving former President Donald Trump.

Josiah’s growing doubts culminated in a reflective social media post, where he hinted at the misuse of spiritual authority for personal gain. Although he stopped short of naming his brother directly, the implication was unmistakable. Jeremiah’s ministry, which boasts a substantial reach through social media and paid courses on “prophetic maturity,” has drawn criticism for bold claims, including Trump being divinely chosen to expose America’s “darkness.”

The brothers, raised under a pastor father in Indianapolis, are on opposite sides of a spiritual and familial divide. Jeremiah paints their upbringing as idyllic, but Josiah recounts a different story—one marked by abuse and favoritism that he believes has driven a wedge between them.

The conflict intensified when Jeremiah denied his brother’s subtle accusations, labeling them slander. However, he remained largely silent, allowing the dispute to spill into the public arena, where supporters on both sides engaged in heated debates.

Josiah’s frustration peaked when Jeremiah allegedly used his personal poem as a prophetic message without credit. Feeling betrayed, Josiah severed ties with the ministry, which had already faltered after Jeremiah admitted inaccurately prophesied Trump’s re-election in 2020.

This confession sparked significant backlash, including death threats and a mass exodus of support. Facing the storm, Jeremiah issued a public apology: “I would like to repent for inaccurately prophesying that Donald Trump would win a second term as the President of the United States… As a human being, I missed what God was saying.”

Despite attempts to pivot his ministry’s focus away from political prophecy, Jeremiah’s efforts to regain credibility remain overshadowed by his brother’s allegations, leaving a once-unified ministry deeply fractured.
