[Video] Reagan Meets Jesus: Quaid and Roumie’s Hilarious Viral Encounter

In a recent social media sensation, Dennis Quaid and Jonathan Roumie delighted audiences with a humorous exchange, embodying their iconic roles as Ronald Reagan and Jesus Christ. Captured by Pastor Greg Laurie of Harvest Christian Fellowship, this playful interaction has quickly gone viral.

Quaid, preparing to star as Ronald Reagan in an upcoming biopic, and Roumie, renowned for his portrayal of Jesus in “The Chosen,” participated in a light-hearted Q&A. Laurie, who orchestrated the encounter, shared the video on social media, sparking laughter and intrigue.

“I was with Dennis Quaid and @JonathanRoumie recently. Since Dennis has a film coming out at the end of this month titled ‘Reagan’ where he plays the 40th President of the United States, and Jonathan plays Jesus so powerfully in ‘The Chosen,’ I had an idea,” Laurie wrote.

He posed a whimsical question: “What if Ronald Reagan met Jesus? What would he say? What would Jesus say? It’s all meant for fun,” Laurie added.

Quaid, fully immersed in his Reagan character, quipped, “I was wondering if you could help me with the Contras down in Central America? And if you could talk to the Russians.” This comedic take on historical events delighted viewers, showcasing the actors’ talent and charisma.

The highly anticipated biopic Reagan is set to hit theaters on August 30, 2024. Quaid shared his thoughts on the role with the Daily Caller, expressing the challenges and rewards of portraying such a significant figure.

“Portraying Ronald Reagan was an enormous challenge,” he stated. I think what’s going to appeal to the audience is that you’re getting the whole story. I’ve always been told bits and pieces of the stories from Reagan’s life. This movie puts the entire story together.”

Quaid is joined in the film by Penelope Ann Miller as Nancy Reagan, Mena Suvari as Reagan’s first wife, Jane Wyman, Lesley-Anne Down as Margaret Thatcher, David Henrie as teenage Reagan, Kevin Dillon as Jack Warner, and Jon Voight as KGB agent Viktor Petrovich.
